College Board IDOC - submitted tax docs four weeks ago - still not processed

They did not reply to request for help submitted online over a week ago.
When you call them and you press 0 to talk with a CSR you are treated to a fast busy signal.

What a mess.

IDOC has been having a lot of issues lately and haven’t really handled customer service the best. See here: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/financial-aid-scholarships/1740587-idoc-processing-times-p1.html

I just got an email from IDOC today saying they received my packet and everything is good. It was all processed, it says, on March 3rd. Obviously though, my family mailed it much earlier than that. Hopefully everyone else’s IDOC can be worked out and processed soon!

I get this from College Board

“You are receiving this email because you mistakenly received an email from us around midday today reminding you that you must submit your tax forms and other documents to IDOC. You received this email in error and we ask you to disregard its instructions.”

As Charlie Brown would say “Auuuuugh!”

Got the same thing. Stuff like this really makes me question the reliability of College Board and its services.

Don’t worry. If you have submitted earlier (even if it over a month ago) stay calm. This is what the colleges supposed to receive the IDOC documents wrote when contacted them.

I just got off the phone with an IDOC representative (40 minutes on hold). My son’s documents were uploaded on February 15th but still not processed as of today. His information is being forwarded to the Processing Center because his documents should have been processed two weeks ago, per the representative. I was unable to use the “Contact Us” email portion of the IDOC site. I received an error message on every attempt. It sounds like there are many students in the same boat. I guess we’ll wait and see.

@PercMom‌ I wonder if the colleges could just make financial aid decision based on the self-reporting via CSS profile plus the FAFSA in a pinch.

They finally have most of the docs process - with the exception of my w2. Well at least they have the 1040 and 1099.
