College Board Sent the June 6 scores I cancelled! Can I do anything?

My daughter took the SAT June 6th when they had the printing error. She already has a 800 on 'English, a 790 in Writing and a 620 in Math from the 1st time she took it. She always does poorly on one math section and well on the others - the June 6 test she knew she did well on the Section 8 math that was eventually cancelled. I spoke with the College Board and we cancelled sending her scores to schools. I went online and got the confirmation box that changes had been made. This morning I found out that her math was indeed awful (the bad section was counted and the good section eliminated) and they sent her scores even though I had cancelled sending them! Is there anything I can do? And how much will a really low math score hurt her? Her schools all say they superscore but I feel like the really low math is a red flag. She is a Senior applying early decision so the October test is not really an option.

I don’t really know what to say concerning the June 6 SAT because that whole situation really confuses me- maybe call customer service?? But in regards to the October test- it is an option for a lot of schools! Many schools that I have looked at have said that you can apply ED and take the October test and that the scores would arrive in time for your application to be considered. Double check the websites of the schools that your daughter is looking at, but I think that most schools let ED applicants take the October test! Good luck!

Thank you for your response! I have checked and the timing should be ok. Other than the fact that with a fall sport, 6 AP classes and college apps to complete, my daughter wanted to be done with standardized testing by now. I did speak to the College Board about sending the scores by mistake, only because I was ON THE PHONE with a rep when I cancelled sending them, and it was verbally confirmed, and confirmed by a pop up window that it had been cancelled. She said there was no explanation and no recourse because you can’t put toothpaste pack into a tube. I think with child #2 who is a freshman we’re going to just stick with the ACT.

Did they send the scores to schools that are score choice? They should send a letter on your daughters behalf clarifying the situation. I hope you asked for a supervisor when you called.

wow collegeboard is just making this whole situation worse by the day…
