I was also wondering would being a male and applying for nursing school at all the schools besides BU and Tufts which do not have one be a possible hook?

Omg dude…ur almost exactly like me (except with a lower SAT) score. I think we’ll both be fine for BU,and I’m applying early to NYU our chances will be different for that. I’m also applying to Tufts but I feel as if that is a long shot, as least for me. But your class rank is a lot better than mine so idk

NYU and Tufts are iffy, they’re probably reach, but not extremely.
Austin is harder to predict with your GPA, since you’ve said it’s been changing, but probably slightly more likely than NYU and Tufts.
I think you’ve definitely got a good shot at BU, BC, and Northeastern, but I don’t know anything about Case Western.
I think that the nursing school idea would probably help your chances, but not dramatically. Don’t apply there just to increase increase you’re chances, be sure it’s actually what you want to do.

Boston University: in
NYU: low reach
Case Western: not familiar with this one
Northeastern: in
Tufts: reach
University of Texas at Austin: reach? (not really familiar w/ this one either)

Using above poster’s format:
Boston University: in
NYU: will be kinda hard unless you raise one of your test scores.
Case Western: this one’s pretty tough to get into, since it’s a commonly sought EA school. Again, I’d raise the teset scores.
Northeastern: in
Tufts: I think you’ll be able to be in the upper half of the applicants.
University of Texas at Austin: in

If you’re a Texas resident, I think UT is pretty solid… the reason its so hard for out of state kids to get in is because UT wants to assure in state kids first pick spots. NYU will be a little difficult, but personally I think its hyped up more than it actually is worth (especially for the ridiculous price). I think the others are pretty solid… just get test scores up a lil’.

Based on what I know about those colleges, you should defiantly get in at least one of your choices. Since I haven’t really looked at those colleges too much and thus don’t know too much about them, I can’t really offer to much more help than that. The upward trend Junior year should help a lot especially since most of those colleges don’t even look at freshman grades.
