College Chances

Just want some quick opinions...

Colleges: Boston University, RPI, Carnegie Mellon, Wake Forest Lafayette
Stanford, Princeton, and Cornell (just to see... you can always hope)
Deferred ED from UVA
I don't know if I will be applying to all of those, just want some ideas.

3.6 GPA (don't know weighted... but probably around 3.7-3.75 my schools grading scale is 94-100 so I don't know what affect that has)
2130 Combined SAT (690V 800M 640W)
5 on AP Stat exam, 4 on AP Comp Sci, 4 more AP's this year (5 AP tests), 11 honors classes throughout high school, 3 regular.
Rank is probably top 20 or top 15, I don't think we do exact ranks though.

A few EC's
Church Youth Group and community service, engineering club (founding member), NHS, math honor society, guitar (i play a ton), plan/attend summer service trips, tutoring after school/during lunch, school freshmen mentoring program... and some others those are just the important ones

Honors: considered for national merit scholarship, invited to national youth leadership forum on technology.

Very good essays (original, funny), and one of my rec's is definitely outstanding... the others should be pretty good.

Thanks in advance!

even with test scores i think your gpa is to low for princeton, stanford, cornell

Yea, those are definite reaches. But Stanford doesn't look at freshman year if I remember correctly, and that was a very bad year for me to my gpa is probably .1 higher without freshman year, so that might help. But yea I'm just hoping i might get into one of them on some crazy luck. Plus their essays are more fun to write :).

Mmm yea and I forgot to put up SAT II's:
780 Math 2
690 Physics
690 US History

those will definitely help. taking extra tests. your math is very high? is that something you want to study. because colleges willl take that into consideraton.

Yea my major will probably be something math/physics related, if not exactly a BS in math or physics.
