College Chances

Okay, so I’ve submitted all of my applications (except for one), and I was wondering if anyone could help me out with some chances. Thank you! By the way, to be honest, the only ones I truly care about are MCPHS, Fordham, and slightly St. John’s, and slightly Northeastern. I’ll only be devastated if I get denied from Fordham and MCPHS though. I’m applying to the school of arts and sciences for all of them.

*I know Northeastern superscores, but I’m not sure about the others.
SAT Subject: 670 Chemistry & 610 Math 1 (I know, but I was focused more on Chemistry than Math 1 whoops)

Nand Fordham are reaches. MCPHS has a high acceptance rate and a high freshman flunk out rate.

I think TCNJ science programs are a reach.

For some reason, I feel as if a college’s overall deciding factor are the SAT scores and everything else is a plus. Can someone please tell me that I’m wrong? I pour my heart and soul into everything I do, and I want colleges to know that my SAT has no indication of how hard I am willing to try. I mean, I’m really desperate to get in! I self-taught myself lot of information from Academic Decathlon, I learned a lot about Organic Chemistry and how to name organic molecules along with complex molecules, and I’m self-studying a thick biology textbook! I feel so hopeless because I’m doing all of these things, and for what? Well, it’s not a complete down. I do this because I love to learn different things, but I feel as if colleges will deny me only because of my SAT score (This is technically a bump by the way), and I really hope some college (especially Fordham and Northeastern) would see that my SAT score isn’t a clear indication of who I am. Now I’m not saying that I’m going to get denied everywhere! I’m confident in my admission to Fairleigh Dickinson, but I just wish colleges wouldn’t look at the SAT as the determining factor (cough cough Rutgers).

PS I forgot to mention my awards. I got 3rd place Academic Decathlon Science Competition and 3rd Place Academic Decathlon Essay Competition (Scholastic Level) for Region 1 in NJ.

There are thousands of colleges that will accept you with a 1750 SAT score, but not the highly selective schools like Northeastern and Fordham. they would be a reach.

Bump

Okay so I applied Early Action everywhere except rutgers, and I found out that I was deferred from Northeastern University! I’m happy that they didn’t reject me on the spot since Northeastern is AN EXTREMELY HIGH REACH SCHOOL FOR ME! I guess colleges really do look at everything and not just the scores! Accepted to Fairleigh Dickinson University by the way, and the rest of the colleges will respond very soon!

By the way, I used this calculator to calculate my GPA on a 4.0 scale, so it’s actually a 3.8 (weighted) according to this calculator

I think you will get into all the schools except for Northeastern, and Fordham is a slight reach.

Admitted to MCPHS, Rutgers (New-Brunswick), and Fairleigh Dickinson, but deferred from Northeastern and Fordham. I hope I can get into Fordham!

Okay, Who lied to me about not getting into Northeastern University?!?!

Fairleigh Dickinson: Accepted
Rutgers: Accepted
MCPHS: Accepted
St. John’s University: Accepted
Montclair State: Accepted
The College of New Jersey: Accepted
Northeastern University: Accepted via NU.in
Fordham: Unknown
