<p>so i really dont mean to be mean or anything by this, but when all these people with 4.0 GPA's and 2300 SAT's ask for chances to average schools i wonder sometimes...cuz its not difficult to find the exact average standards on a certain website ( i dont think i can say its name but im sure everyone knows of it) or simply on the college's website. sometimes i just wonder if people are wanting to bloat about their scores, cuz if they are that intelligent they should know they are an easy in for a lot of the colleges they are wanting to be chanced for. again, im not trying to offend anyone this stuff just makes me wonder.</p>

<p>well ya ivy leagues are a whole nother story. as i said in my original post, i was talking about people with those credentials who are wanting to be chanced for average colleges that they are easily qualified for.</p>
<p>well, usually they just add safety's in order to let people know where else they're applying.</p>
<p>Keep in mind that many overachieving CCers are insecure.</p>
<p>insecurity would make a lot of sense</p>
