I'm having trouble deciding whether I should go to NYU through the General Studies Program, or go to Brandeis, or Bryn Mawr. Which would be better? What are the pros and cons between the three? Also, if I was to transfer after a year which would result in the most successful options?

Visit Bryn Mawr and the decision will be over. The campus is beautiful in the spring. Too bad your decision has to be made before May Day, or I would recommend that you visit campus for that event which will be celebrated on May 4 this year.

Wishing you all the best.

Bryn Mawr is the most beautiful of the three--but it is also very different than the others (being all women, for example). Have you visited all three? Were it me, I'd choose Brandeis (but, then again, my gender disqualifies me for Bryn Mawr :) )

i've visited nyu and brandeis and i'm visiting bryn mawr this sunday. i know bryn mawr the most gorgeous of the three...but i don't really like the campus of brandeis and for some reason i really like nyu's campus, i mean city life and all. but in terms of transfer possibilities and academic reputation which should i prefer, because i can't base everything on looks. and the thing that makes it more difficult is nyu's obviously large class size will be smaller for me because i'm in the gsp program =/

These are all good schools. Don't worry about transferring, just choose the one you like the most and plan on loving it.

I can see reasons to choose all three.

And make sure you look at Haverford while you're there too because they really function together.
