College choices for a smartmouth

I'm not like most CCers in that I'm not looking at top schools. I mean, I have the stats, 2350+ SAT, SAT II's, and a decent GPA...but I've been told I'm a bit of a jerk by most people and my parents are ***ed off by the way I act. In fact, they probably won't pay for me to go to college. So I'm looking at second or third tier schools because I'm not going to take out a loan. Also, colleges that give full rides and have students who graduate making lots of money. I'm don't plan on going to college to actually learn....I know it's selfish but I just want to really rich. Preferably not a school that's hyper-liberal or hyper-conservative (politics are pretty boring) but reputable (not like Ivy or something) and give *full rides. I've been looking into my state school, Rutgers, so far... but I'm not sure if they give full rides. Any other ideas? Thanks!

well ,top schools have the students with the least debt because of all the money they give out in FA, so you don't need to turn down top schools, just apply and see what they offer. i also live in NJ :P

I've heard that Ohio State gives out full rides, but I don't know if that is only for in-staters.

What's a "decent" GPA? High SATs alone won't get you into top schools. Lots of third tier schools should give you merit $$ with those scores though.

I disagree with most of the people here about applying to 'top schools'. You can get a perfectly good education at any college. Apply to a school that you like--not a school for prestige. You'll probably have the upper hand over the rest of the crowd with your stuff (assuming that your essays/etc are really good). Just dominate it.

i've heard temple throws a lot of money around

Rowan maybe? What school district are you from? (Rutgers is my state U as well)

Tulane gives a number of full rides, and it's a fairly prestigious school.

You could also try Seattle U, Arizona, Occidental, and Santa Clara.

4.28 GPA Weighted, Top 3% of my class. I have gotten all A's each year with one B each year. It's not as great as some of my other academic achievements but I think it's decent. Thanks so far for the info. As for my school district, I don't want to give that info out online but it's in Northern NJ. As for Arizona, that's really good I can't believe I forgot about that one (free rides to NMF's) Thanks for the info so far.

Okay, yeah I'm not trying to be stalkerish, I'm just wondering. I'm from central NJ myself

Look at the list on the parent's board of merit schools. You should be able to get money lots of places.
