Do most Colleges such as State colleges look strongley at classes such as Technolgy Education,Speech,Physical education, and any other minor courses like that?becuase i have a D in tech Ed and a C in Speech, but all my other grades are A’s except for the 91 B in Science,i was wondering if my minor classes are looked into and taken into account alot?

i dunno, depends on the state/local college...

for example, Kansas University offers immediate acceptance to any instate applicants who are in the top 1/3 of their class, or scores 24+ on the ACT, or gets National Merit semifinalst...

i'll bet something like Berkeley, or UMich would be a lot harder to get into even for instate applicants...

but, all in all, if you're applying to state college instate, i think you should be fine

i plan to go to Penn State

JimmyEatWorld! Did you know that some out-of-state people actually have to TRY to get into KU? Crazy, huh.

Anyway, there are SOME schools who will only take academic courses into account. Others will only look at academic courses EXCEPT for when there's a D or F in the non-academic class. Schools also have different ideas of what constitutes "academic."

Try looking on the admissions websites of the specific schools you're applying to.

I have a feeling your chances might be hurt at Penn State, so make sure you find good safeties.
