College Class of 2016; What are you looking forward to most?

I am looking forward to living on the beautiful campus of my college, meeting new people, and trying out new subjects that are offered to me!

So excited to be going to Bethany College!

How about you guys?

(BTW, it would be cool if you included the college you are going to)

Looking forward to leaving my county (have great friends and memories, but I’m ready for a change), meeting new people, being with people of similar interests, both social and academic, and studying things I want to study.

Going to Rensselaer, Carnegie Mellon, or SUNY Buffalo, depending on which is the most affordable for my parents.

Can’t wait to get out on my own, meet new people, and party.

Either going to UC Davis, Cal Poly Pomona, or Cal Poly San Luis Obispo.

Excited to really experience something extraordinary. New people, new classes, great opportunities, and nice sunny weather. Chance to try out new things.

Going to Stanford.

Independence, both personally and academically. High school busywork gets VERY tiresome. I’m looking forward to having intellectual discussions in my classes that go beyond “answer questions 34-50 on page 80 of your textbook.” And the freedom to focus my courses on subjects that interest me. Personally, just being able to be considered an adult and not lectured all the damn time. I really want to get away from this town and nearly everyone in it, including my family. I’m also absolutely in LOVE with the college I’m going to, and can’t wait to spend my next 4 years there.

I’m heading to Appalachian State University in Boone, NC.

WOOT Appalachian State! Looked into that state for sure.

@DavidSSabb94 I think we are on the EXACT same boat here.

Awesome courses - less BS than high school classes, more interesting topics (AI! algorithms! abstract algebra!), and a lot of choices.
Better food.
More independence and opportunities for internships or research.

I am really excited to be in classes I enjoy! I’m one of those people that love learning and I can’t wait to learn more about the sciences and to be in labs. Can’t wait to get beyond wasted on the weekends with the new friends ill make and the go to all of the parties (some good ol college traditions). Can’t wait to be able to eat whenever and not have to cook! Can’t wait to meet a guy too. It would be nice to find an intelligent guy who has the same interests as me.

Hm, issue is, where will I choose to go? I’m leaning towards the University of Miami or Syracuse. I’m stuck between the two.
Or if I get into one of my reaches I might go there. But for the most part, I really think Miami might be the one.

The independence.
Decorating my dorm.
Learning for REAL. (no offense to my teachers thus far. College isn’t based on state mandated tests).
Being surrounded by intelligent, passionate women.
Riding a bike to and from class.
Playing rugby.
Buying a closet full of college apparel.
Applying knowledge through research and internships.

Smith College.

Meeting new people and making new friends, being in an environment where politics is discussed daily (especially with the upcoming election!), exploring all that D.C. has to offer, and living away from home.

American University.

Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I777 using CC

^ LaChicaBuena , I KNOW! I LOVE politics, and am so excited for the political environment in my school!
That, and Meeting new people outside of my high school, trying new foods, growing as a student and as a person, exploring life (broad but true), studying both biochem & biology, living away from home too.

Tufts University.

Bump!

The thing that I am looking forward to most?

ALL the decisions :p

I’m looking forward to leaving my upper middle class hometown and meet people from diverse backgrounds. Looking forward to taking classes in chemistry to determine whether I really want to study that. Looking forward to being active on campus and defining myself as an individual. Looking forward to wearing college gear and having spirit and pride for whatever school I end up at! :}} oh, and new friends!!
And I was accepted at Washington university in St. Louis, but I’m waiting on Rice University; Northwestern, and Stanford

Deciding which school to go to!

A challenging academic environment!

Having my own dorm to decorate!

Getting out of my house…honesty is a virtue?

Meeting new people!

And I don’t know where I’m going yet, but I’m okay with that.

Meeting new people, of course.
Living in a major city. I’m tired of the suburbs.
Going to classy parties with classy people in classy clothes and being classy. Or getting sh–faced. Or both.
Finding wonderful yet unknown restaurants and the like.
Being around people who are politically conscious.
Trying acting, dancing, fencing and other things I’ve haven’t done.
Learning from both my professors and my classmates.
Shopping.
Decorating my dorm.
Independence.

Ugh why can’t I be in college now?
I haven’t gotten all my decisions back yet, but I’m pretty sure I know where I’m going.

Being twelve hours away from home
Having 115,000 people cheering for the same team as you

University of Michigan - GO BLUE

Having deep philosophic questions, meeting soo many new people,

And clubbing.

Attending NYU

Getting away from my parents; I love them and all but I can’t wait to not have a curfew and not get asked 50 questions every time I go out and not get GPS tracked to make sure I’m not lying about where I am (and consequently partying way more than I can now)

Shopping for dorm stuff and packing and decorating my room

Being done with math and science and getting to study music all day

Still waiting on my music school decision but probably going to Iowa State (go cyclones)
