College Class of 2019

Bump…have you guys had mid-terms yet? I’ve had exams for Meteo 201, Chem 110, and Psych 100, and have gotten 82, 84, and 88 respectively. Disappointed I couldn’t get any A’s, but at least I still have plenty of time to boost my grades.

Good job @metsfanAJM! Those grades are an excellent starting point–you are dialing it in. You have many weeks tp pull those over the A boundary.

@metsfanAJM I had exams for ECE and Calc. Anxiously awaiting those. Have comp sci midterm in a couple of weeks

Cool! Got a 96 on the ECE exam, and I think I got all the questions on the Calc exam right. Awesome!

Outstanding @hungryteenager!

Awesome, 99 on calc. Sweet.

Well, I failed my second ever college midterm, but still got curved grade of a C+.

At least, I’m over it now.

College has been amazing so far IMO.

Gotta love being the beneficiary of the curve! Glad that college is amazing for you!

@Hawkace, happens to the best of us. I’m having some serious issues with learning C++, my teacher stands and talks in front of 100 slide PPTs for 3.5 hours…can’t seem to learn from that, I focus more on staying awake than listening.

Other than that class, I’m doing alright. Somehow keeping around an A- average, not sure how though :stuck_out_tongue:

Dominating my classes (17 credit units), but I might end up with a B in Chinese. :-S

Hang in there, there are way worse things in life than a B (or a C+). Though I have trouble convincing my daughter of that as well.

The Mets are really in the World Series, what a time to be alive.

@metsfanAJM It’s going to be a Mets-Royals World Series. And then the Mets are going to lose. But hey, on the upside, your username is finally relevant after all these years. :stuck_out_tongue:

Cool, got a 95 on my comp sci midterm. I hate how python handles lists. It’s terrible.

Also, I’m expecting the Mets to win the World Series. I don’t trust the Kansas City or Toronto rotations to get the job done, and I don’t expect Thor, Degrom, or Harvey to pull a Price.

Haha, we’ll see about that @CE527M. When’s the last time the Reds were relevant?

@hungryteenager: I agree, I expect the Mets to win in 6. The Mets pitching is too overpowering and they’re getting timely hitting from their offense. Seems like that’s been the formula for a lot of the recent World Series winners.

I officially schedule my second semester classes on the 29th, here’s what I’m looking at:

ECON 102 (Introductory Microeconomic Analysis and Policy)
English 015 (Rhetoric and Composition)
Math 141G (Calculus with Analytic Geometry II)
Physics 211 (General Physics: Mechanics)

Total: 16 credits. Wanted to take a Computer Science class too, but my academic adviser told me I’d be overloading.

@metsfanAJM Um…y’know…um…the Reds were the first major league team so we have that going for us…um…

I haven’t officially decided what I’m going to take yet; I can register beginning November 11. Looks like I’ll be taking 17 credits in order to finish up my lower division requirements so I can start taking my interest area journalism classes by spring of 2017.

No official schedule yet…looking like this though:

Organic Chemistry 1
Differential Equations/Linear Algebra
Physics 2
ChE Conservation Principles
A recitation and lab for Org. Chem

Total of 18 credits I think…gonna be rough

You’ll be in my prayers, @BPearlman97
