Basically an extension of the high school class of 2016 thread. So yeah, when do you guys start school? Have you brought any form stuff yet(if you’re dorming)?,etc.
I didn’t want to be the one to start this thread, so thank you for starting it :P. I just had orientation (4 classes on Fridays for the first 5 weeks thanks to recitation classes!). I wasn’t exactly planning on having 7 classes, but 2 classes came with recitation classes. Yay! Anyway, I start on August 22!

I move in Aug 20. I am going from California to DC though so I plan on buying most stuff there, I don’t really want to deal with mailing stuff nor paying the extra to put in my bag. I am staying at a hotel near a Target (planned it on purpose) so I plan on just buying any extra last stuff minute, I’ll obv bring whatever I feel is needed from home but most purchases will be there.
I’m super nervous yet I feel like summer is going by so slow!
Hey! Moving in August 16th (early, I know… we’re driving from Ohio to Louisiana, so we’ll be leaving either the 12th or the 13th). We have an honors retreat on the 17th, everyone else’s move-in on the 18th, and Fall orientation from the 18th through the 21st. Our first day of classes is the 22nd. It’s quite a process.
I’m dorming, and I’m so ready to start shopping, but none of the shops around us have started sales yet. I think we’re going to wait for that.
Did anyone else get summer homework? I thought I’d seen the last of that in high school…
I already registered for classes, and I move in August 25th. My college is 1 mile away from my house (but I’m living on campus to be away from my parents), Then upperclassman move in on the 27th and classes start the 29th.
Moving should be easy. 1 bag filled with clothes, 1 bag with bedding (2 blankets, sheets), 1 bag with all the crap from my desk and bathroom, and my computer bag (which i will also fill with necessary school supplies).
@dragonfly26 what college are you going to, and who assigned you summer work?
I’ll be going to Loyola New Orleans in the fall. 
The summer work is for the honors program, so I guess it’s my own choice, but still.
What kind of bags were you thinking about using? Both my parents commuted and I’m the oldest so we have no clue what to do haha
I’m moving in to Rhodes college August 18th! @dragonfly26 I’m either doing garbage bags or boxes.
I was thinking boxes but garbage bags isn’t a bad idea. May be considering that.
I go to orientation next week but I’m not sure exactly when move in is. I know late August, but I should probably figure that out, lol.
I’m not even sure when orientation is,lol, that sounds really bad. I should probably look that up now. It’s really weird though because it’s not listed on either the school calendar or in the packet of papers they sent us.I just know when pre-orientation is. :))
Oh I just found it. Orientation for me starts September 4th
Literally just got home from orientation. I move in on the 17th of Aug and start classes on the 22nd.
I move in on August 25th! I don’t know what my dorm room will be like (at my college the layouts differ quite a bit) and I don’t know who my roommate is yet so I don’t know where to start when it comes to college shopping.
My orientation is June 20 (Monday).
I move in August 18th. The usual move-in date is August 25, but I have to go to a summer program for “at risk” students (probably because my high school).
I’m moving from Northern NJ to Philly (La Salle U), so not too far.
I had my orientation last weekend and I move in August 19, then after that, I only have 2 full days before classes start on August 22 (8am class on Monday, whopdee doo).

I move in on August 26, classes start the 29th. I already did orientation and got my classes so I’m super excited to move to university and get started.
I had fun at my orientation!
I also found a roommate. I’m a little worried, because she’s so quiet. I am too, but I’m outgoing with friends, so I hope she’ll open up too!
My move in day is August 23rd, I have orientation from August 23 or 24-August 28 (I’m going to a college in NYC and the dorms are pretty far from the classes so they have to teach us how to use the subway and get to class on top of the normal orientation stuff) and then class starts August 29th.
I’m really excited and already started buying form stuff (mostly decor because the typical dorm stuff will go on sale later) but I’m SOOOOO EXCITED i keep dorm shopping every weekend.
Do you guys have your schedules yet?
I only have three classes, since I complete FYO at the student program I mentioned. I’ll be taking Philosophy, Intro to Social Work, & Spanish 201 (for juniors, I hope it’s not too hard!).
