So I'm not sure how to do this on the common app. I go to a normal high school, and then I also take college classes online through a different high school. I think I should check the box that says "If you have taken a college/university course since 9th grade, check this box" but then the courses weren't through a college. So I have the other high school listed under "If you have attended any other secondary schools since ninth grade, including summer schools or enrichment programs hosted on a secondary school campus, check this box:". And then I left the college/university courses box blank. Is that correct? And will colleges know to expect a transcript from the second high school?

Thanks.

I would say it depends on who will issue the transcripts for the college classes - will it be the other high school, or the college? Were any high school (not college) courses taken at the other high school, or just college courses?

If the transcript will be issued by the college and not the other high school, I think maybe you should list the college instead.

There’s no college. The other high school offers curriculum up through the college level, so they do offer AP classes but I have only taken college level classes there. The transcript would be from the other high school. I have done a significant amount of coursework there so I just want to make sure that it’s documented correctly.

I think what you have is right.
There is this check box:
Course taught on secondary/high school campus (excluding AP/IB)

Leave the college blank.

Also, be sure to try and add a teacher from each school.

You may want to seek assistance from your counselor as well.

And… you may want to describe the situation in the ‘additional information’ upload section just so it is clear.
