College Confidential - The Podcast!

No, we’re not doing regular podcasts right now, but we did one in conjunction with a news release on our [College</a> Visit](<a href=“http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/visits/]College”>http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/visits/) area - to listen or download, you can go to this page and click on the desired format (MP3, iTunes, etc.).

Just curious - do you listen to many podcasts? If so, how? On your PC? iPod? Do you download a lot and listen to a few?

I hope many find it helpful. If it goes over well, do you plan on doing another?

Personally, I’ve never listened to a podcast, so I can’t help you there.

I’ve done some podcast listening - I download a dozen or so to my MP3 player and listen to the ones that are interesting. The big problem I ran into was minor technical stuff - like the name displayed on the player isn’t a user-friendly name like “Jack Welch interview”, but a 30 character file name that means nothing. So, trying to figure out what you’ve listened to or what you want to listen to is a bit challenging. I assume these are typical new technology issues that will get sorted out.

never listened to them. ill maybe start

holy crap! wats podcast???

The only podcasts I listen to are MuggleNet’s weekly MuggleCast, and the podcasts they do conjunction with The Leaky Cauldron (LeakyMugs). I always just download them and listen to them straight from my computer.

I have no clue what podcst is, but it sounds like something unimportant.

i’ve never used podcasts- i find it wastes space for songs heh. however, it was a nice interview.

i listen to podcasts constantly

it’d be awesome if you guys had a monthly one

I listen to podcasts all the time especially on my iPod… shuffle that is…things like security now… floss weekly… some college search ones like thomson petersons… etc etc… long list… fun things… I wish I could add a CC podcast link to it as well…

ESPN Radio
Penn Jillete Show

amazing stuff and its 100% free. CC does need a podcast.

I regularly listen to Leonard Lopate of WNYC, Tim Gunn (of Project Runway fame :)) and I’ve listened to some random lectures from Stanford. My husband is currently taking an art history course.

what is a podcast?

Can we subscribe to the podcast? If so, how? I don’t want to listen to it on my computer. I prefer using my IPOD in my car.

I download via Itunes site and listen on my IPOD. I subscribe to Princeton Review and Financial Aid Podcasts, in addition to several others.
