So I've been getting a lot of college emails telling me to apply. Lately they have been saying that they will waive my application fee. After yale said they would waive the application fee i was wondering if it means that you'll pretty much get in if you apply.

Of course not.

What are the schools that sent you emails and what is your file like anyway?

Schools like Penn State, Drexel, Columbia, Northwestern, and Yale. I have a 4.3 and 7th out of 160 and an athlete. I just want to know if they just want to raise their application numbers or if it means that they are really interested in you

Yale has specifically indicated that they are not going to target those students who they believe don’t have much chance of admission. Getting letters from schools offering a free app is meaningless. Yes, many of them may be just try to pad their numbers and show how “selective” they are. Remember this, though. Wile the application may be free, sending in test scores isn’t, and after a whole the costs do add up.
