If you take a college class at a community college during high school for college credit, it won't count on your high school transcript, right?

Sorry if it sounds like it's a stupid question. Logically, I'm thinking no, it won't count, but I'm not sure.

It didn't count for me, but I think this is the kind of thing that varies from school to school.

It doesn't count in my High School GPA nor is it menioned in the transcripts. I suppose that most high schools don't take your outside courses into account.
But if one has loaded up on the lowest level courses in one's high school, the community college courses may be help in University admissions.

At my school it does count, but that's because in Ohio there's a state-wide system for that sort of thing...I would think it would depend, but for us it does count.

Does anyone know if it counts in California?

At my school, they appear on our transcripts and count into the gpa.

^ Are you from California?

Ahh... I'm so scared about this. I'm asking this question specifically for the Uc's.

Um.. I have more info.... when my high school gives you the "permission slip" to take a class at the community college, it has 2 boxes: high school credit or college credit. Since I checked college credit, is it safe to assume that it will not be on my high school transcript?

ask your counselor

I take classes at a community college and I ask my counselor to transfer the credits onto my high school transcript.
I'm from California.

Thanks for your help. I do want to ask my counselor, but they won't be there until school starts in a month, but I will asap.
