Does the strength of the college curriculum matter for transfers to Top 25 universities (cuz certainly for undergrad it matters)? For example, the college I will be attending next year has a couple of honors classes and I can use some of my AP credits to take higher classes. Should I take them or should I take the easier intro classes and get a higher GPA?

GPA and difficulty of coursework both matter for transfers just like they did for fr admissions. And just like for fr admissions, no one can tell you exactly were the balance point is.

of course course difficulty matters!

So, I should still take most of the highest I can take?

Don’t overdo it, but IMO a decent ratio is you trying your hardest in hard classes and getting 3.5-3.8 range. I think that’s a decent balance. Pure GPA padding is lamsers. Everyone does it too. There’s a lot of 4.0’s and 3.9’s that expect to get into harvard or whatever because of thier GPA, but don’t realize that they’ve been taking intro psych and intro philosophy the entire time. If you can score A’s in chemistry/biology/physics/engineering/math, you’ll look a whole lot more impressive.

well i’m going to be a science major, so i’ll be taking intro bio and intro chem (my school won’t take ap credits, but they have honors classes for both, so i might be able to place into both of them) and a couple of core requirement courses as well as calc 1 or 2 (depending on how i do on bc calc tomorrow… eep). i might also take something like intro to economics and/or intro to physc for my first semester of freshman year… sounds good???
