College credit from an online course

At my college there’s a Writing requirement (UC Entry Level Writing Requirement) which students have to satisfy prior to their sophomore year of college through an entry level writing course. I failed my writing 1 course so I did not meet the requirement during my fall 2017 semester. I now have to repeat the course again but I am unable take it this semester. If I don’t meet the requirement at the end of the spring semester I will be placed on a hold that’ll prevent me from enrolling in classes for the fall 2018 semester.

So, my question is; If I take an English College Composition Course online will this satisfy the requirement?
Can the credits I earn from an online English 1 course be applied towards this requirement?
Or are there other options I should consider to satisfy this requirement?

Did you ask your UC if these courses are acceptable to fulfill the requirement? Best to go directly to the source to get an accurate answer.

Would it be best to talk with an adviser? She had previously mentioned taking it at my local community college but I didn’t discuss taking it as an online course.
