College Credit

I am new here, so I hope I'm doing this right!

Anyway, I am a senior and for all of my high school career I have earned A's and 3 B's. This semester, though, I took on too much with school, extra carricular activities, and an internship. Plus, I was out sick with swine flu for quite a while. I ended up getting all A's and, horribly, a D in my AP Calc class.

What I am wondering now is, can I take the class again at a community college (evening classes) and have it replace my D on my transcript? I found a course where it covers all of calc 1 in an evening class all in one semester. I figure I am already familiar with most of the material, so I would probably be ok. And this semester will be much easier, I got rid of a few activities and some of my hard classes are over.

Can this be done?

You need to check with your HS to see if they will do that. As far as some colleges, they may replace the grade if your HS does, others may include both.
