Hey I'm a senior at high school in connecticut. I applied to 7 schools Maryland college park, purdue, penn state, umich, wisconsin, uconn, syracuse. I was admitted at all of them except Michigan where i was waitlisted. I'm having a tough time deciding on UWisc or UConn, which is closer and cheaper. But one cant really go wrong with the academics at wisconsin since I'm looking into either engineering or business. No one from mny school is going to wisconsin, i visited the campus and I really liked it, but I can also see myself at UConn which more of the people are like me (basketball, hip-hop). Any opinions???

Yo, I came with the same feelings and I'm here chillin' with my new people who like hip hop and play ball.Either of the schools will give you what you want, but Uconn would be cheaper right, being a resident and all that?

so don do u like it there? where do u stay?

First semester I was at the Highlander.
Now I got my own apartment on Langdon Street.

Yeah, I really like it here, the only reason I'm transferring for is the need for a better International Politics program.

wisconsin has a very strong engineering department.

Agreed, WI does have a very strong engineering dept, but (and I know this sounds trite), your education depends on you. With that in mind, I honestly don't think the price difference would be worth the tradeoff in education, because the school can only assist you so far in reaching your potential. In this case, neither one will hold you back.
