Im currently a junior in high school. I live in Alabama. I'm not certain about my GPA, I believe my only B was Sociology sophomore year. I also made a 29 composite and 8/12 on writing the only time I've taken the ACT and I plan on retaking it as many times as I can.

I'm looking for a university that's I could get a scholarship that would pay for most/all of my tuition. If possible, I'd like one where scholarships would also help with room and board.
Most importantly though, I want to major in Food and Nutrition or Nutritional Science depending on what the college offers.

I've visited UAB and liked what they had, but I'm not sold on the location of downtown Birmingham. They also do not have a Nutrition major. I plan to visit Auburn in April.

I'd like some suggestions on good colleges with Nutrition majors, I'd like to join a fraternity and have fun and party while on campus, and I'd love to keep costs mostly covered by scholarships.

Also, I’d love for the college to have a gym nearby or a recreation center with a weight room, an intramural soccer team, and healthy places to eat on campus or nearby.

In Alabama, Auburn probably is the only public university that offers Nutrition. Before you go chasing out of state options, sit your parents down and talk about where the money for your education is going to come from. Auburn may turn out to be your best deal.

All of the auburn gear around my room doesn’t affect that choice any. (sarcasm)

By retaking the ACT as many times as I can, I meant more around 2-3 times. Sorry for the vague statement.

Also, Alabama and UNA I know have a Food & Nutrition major, but Auburn additionally has Nutritional Science which appeals to me as I hope to further my education into Medical School.

Tuition/fees/Room/Board is about $28,000 per year OOS. With a 31 act or a 3.9 GPA you get a $14,000 scholarship… For a net of $14,000. They have a nutrition major. Check their website for details.

It said the Regents scholarship pays $14,000 plus Amigo scholarship which is another $14,000. Does this mean you’d get both scholarships and total the required $28,000?

I have not looked at their site in a long time, you might qualify for both, I don’t recall. See if they have a net price calculator online or call and ask.

I’d like to get input on the Nutritional Science major at Auburn and the Food & Nutrition major at Alabama and the college lifestyles, including the following: fraternities, student activities (Recreational Center activities, intramural sports, etc.), and other social activities.
