Hello all, I'am majoring in mechanical engineering and I really need as much input as possible on which university I should attend. I have these schools on mind (I have already been accepted).
-Cal Poly Pomona
-University of California, Irvine
-University of San Diego
-San Diego State University.

Pros and cons would be awesome. I'm more of a religious person and I'm not interested in parties or anything in that matter. Honestly I don't think I'm prepared academically for university because I'am a first generation student and the high school I currently attend doesn't have any rigor. I would appreciate it if I knew the level of difficulty for each school.

-I'am financially able to attend each one of these schools (FAFSA and Scholarships)
- I like more of a rural/suburban setting
- I have taken almost all AP/Honor courses offered at my school
-I passed the AP Calculus exam.
- My SAT/ACT score was average.
- Weighted GPA : 3.94

Finally, any input would mean something thanks a lot!

Thank you! I have added this information into my post.

First of all please tell us the following:

Is money an issue and if so, How much are you willing to contribute?

How close to home do you want to stay?

What are your views on the campus social scene or religious affiliation of the college?

Well you can look at the specific location now that you know which colleges you are admitted to, it isn’t like you are searching and have to ID urban, rural etc. Didn’t you apply to Davis?

I would have said USD, for the smaller college experience, more supportive atmosphere, wholistic approach, and the religious leanings of a good amount of the students, except you said engineering. So I would pick UCI. If you have taken and done well in AP you will be just fine there.

edit: I just peeked and the USD program in EE is ABET accredited. Otherwise I admit I don’t know anything about engineering there. My daughter has a classmate that went there and is doing extremely well professionally.
