College Decision Letter

Just wondering if all colleges send their decisions via snail mail or if some email the decision to the applicant?

I believe email is rapidly becoming the rule, followed up by a letter. Some schools only send a physical letter to accepted students.

This is a rapidly changing thing, with many schools in the last year or so switching from the mail to e-mail.

Most colleges have applicants set up online accounts. You check your decisions online.

Some do send results by email, but I get the sense that is less common than giving results by portal log in. Our D’s top two schools both still provide decisions only by mail.
