College decision

Hi all! I am a current hs senior and am debating which college I should attend next year. I am planning in majoring in either business or communications. I am currently debating between James Madison, university of Pittsburgh and university of Delaware. Any views on which one is better or any major differences they have?

Is cost a factor?

@NASA2014 yes a little bit I am a New York resident so I don’t get state tuition but did get a small scholarship from Delaware which makes it just a little more than JMU which is the cheapest. I haven’t heard about scholarships from Pitt yet but not expecting much

If it comes down to it, I flipped a three-sided coin for you and it came up UDel.

Is it important for you to be closer to home? Do you want to have access to major cities like Philadelphia, Baltimore, DC, or would you rather be in a more rural area? JMU has a really nice immediate “city”, but that’s it. Also, the student population is different --UD from the mid Atlantic and Virginia has 70% plus students from Virginia. These are some things to consider. Course of study is also a factor. In order to participate in business internships location may be a factor. Check out the daily information–see what is happening on campus. If concerts, speakers, events are important, find out more. Delaware had an amazing year of special events including Chance the Rapper and Bill Nye, as well as many others. I can’t speak for JMU, but have visited there. it is much more spread out and has a differnt feel/vibe than UD although they share similarities as well. Good luck!
