College decisions suck

Penn State vs VA Tech for Hospitality Management (and possibly Finance)

So here's the problem. I'm in-state for VA Tech so the price is literally half the price of PSU. However, I've wanted to go to PSU for the past 8 years and I have the money to pay myself through --- but I wont have any money leftover for grad school.

Also, Hospitality at PSU isnt offered in the Business school which is why I would want to double major with Finance (so I could get that highly ranked Smeal Business School degree). However, this may cause a 5th year of college (and tuition) to be tacked on.

How hard is it to double major at Penn State?? P.S. I'm not a major partier, at all.

VA Tech offers Hospitality in the Business School (but it isnt ranked as high as PSUs).

I am in serious need of some opinions.

(And I know this is on the Penn State page but I'm really looking for as many nonbiased opinions as I can)

well if grad school is your ultimate goal, and you say you won’t have any money left for it, then I’d do the cheaper option that lets you do grad school. Heck, if you do well enough at VT, you could always go to grad school at PSU and get the best of both worlds

Similar situation however im in state for PSU, ive been wanting to go to VT for a while but im really unsure right now

Do you really want to go to Penn State that badly? Afterall, you said you’re not big on partying… not much else to do in UP. I would just go to Virginia Tech, undergrad business school rankings aren’t too important.

Seriously, not much else to do but party at UP? Nothing could be further from the truth.
