College Dilemma! Need advice from a Life Science major! (Davis vs. UCLA)

I have NO idea which school to attend! It is not as simple as picking the more prestigious college (as you may know). I REALLY need advice specifically from Life Sciences majors. You don’t have to answer every question, just what you want/know!

For a science (biology) major going into health (pre-pharmacy), would Davis or UCLA suit me better? (if you only know about Davis, please post anyway, I will check with the UCLA board). I am getting the same finaid from both schools, and will be content at either campus. I am choosing based on which campus has the better education/opportunities for pre-health, so I need the inside information from a current UCD or UCLA student to please help me :)

I have no idea how much the quality of a school’s science program will affect my admission into grad school, but how are the quality of the teachers and classes (Biology and Chemistry) at UC Davis? How competitive does it get between life sciences majors? (I do expect a lot)

Are there enough internship/extracurricular opportunities available on campus/nearby? (as this is a very important and determining factor for prospective grad students) How is the counseling for science/pre-health students?

Health school is so competitive that I would like to make an informed decision as possible. Thank you so much!

I’m in bio too!
The benefit of UCD (my neighbor’s son is actually a professor there, so i know a lot about their bio program since he’s always telling me about it) is that they have a medical school, which means a lot of research opportunities. i’m not too sure about the research opportunities at ucla but usually with a premed major you’ll want to go somewhere with a medical school. (just realized they have a medical school too… so you can’t go wrong with either! XD i’m thinking it’ll be harder to get good grades in ucla though)

Have you visited the schools? UCLA is really nice. Plus, since you’re prepharm, USC has a pharmacy school (also in los angeles)… I hear that a lot of UCLA students get into USC pharmacy school for grad. maybe they have opportunities at usc for prepharms? haha.

Yeah both schools are great for medical; in fact, UCLA has many medical opportunities. Unfortunately I think pharmacy is health, and medical is doctors, which means there are not as many opportunities for prospective pharmacists  This is the biggest issue, but I want to know if there are enough opportunities for health students at UCD :)
