After graduating high school and not doing so well there, I took a year off and then went to a community college for 2 years. I didnt do as great as I expected there either and my GPA was a little below a 3.0. I applied to a college that I felt had the best curriculum for my major of choice. I got rejected and sent to one of their regional campuses.

The regional campus doesnt have my major of choice, but I went anyway since I couldnt think of anywhere else to go. I also had hopes of transferring again into the main campus after about a year at the regional, but Im still not sure if its possible.

Anyway. Im here at the regional campus and I absolutely hate it. Everything is wrong with it. The town is awful, the weather is miserable, I dont like my roomate, Im starving because Im a vegetarian and the cafeteria food isnt for a vegetarian. I was forced to waste money on a meal plan that buys me food I cant eat..... Im too far from my family, and being a transfer student and not knowing anyone is already awkward enough.

What should I do? i really want to leave... but then what?

I have just transferred to a 4 year college and I am extremely unhappy here. Im in my junior year and I dont know what I should do. Id really like to go somewhere closer to home but is it reasonable to transfer again?

I transferred twice. I went to a community college, and then transferred to a 4-year private university. I hated it; the curriculum was not nearly challenging enough, it was in an awful area, etc. So I transferred again to another 4-year school closer to home. During my admissions interview they did not even ask why I was transferring yet again.

If you are miserable and not even studying your major of choice, then there isn’t much to lose by trying to transfer again. I know the state college in PA is like that; you need top grades to get into the main campus, otherwise you end up at their satellites. They say you can transfer to main after some time at the satellite, but you still need good grades to do so. If you truly believe you are not going to get into the main school you want, then look into other schools you believe you could be accepted to. Just do your research on the food service, weather, etc. so this doesn’t happen again. You have a better idea of what you want now, so go find it.
