What are the best college electives to take? Not just easy classes - classes that will be beneficial or interesting.

That’s a difficult question to answer because it’s so personal. Are you interested in hearing other people’s electives? Do you want to give us some info about yourself and your interests and we can suggest things?

that’s honestly like you asking us what you should wear today, or what kind of girlfriend you should get, or what kind of car you’d like, or something as equally subjective and life-altering.

if you can’t look at a college catalog and figure out what you’re interested in, i don’t know quite what to say. also, electives are different for every college, so if you have a college and think you’re interested in a subject and want to know if that subject is worth taking, then i hardly think we’re the ones to ask.

come on, now.

I really hated English in high school but I took an upper level Creative Writing class and really liked it. I also found my Intro to Criminal Justice class to be very interesting and as close to enjoyable as school could be. Environmental Science and Health classes are also pretty interesting.

I would suggest starting by looking at the classes that satisfy graduation requirements and are outside your discipline, and picking some that look interesting to you. As you progress, things will probably catch your attention, either because they just look cool or because someone is talking about how much they like it, and you can pick up courses that way.
