<p>I'm pretty sure i know the answer to this question, but i just want to make sure.</p>

<p>When colleges email you saying that they're interested in your application (not just telling you about their school), do they really mean it or are they just trying to get you to apply?</p>

<p>and, do they really see your application or do they just know that you are applying?</p>

<p>They mean both – but it IS marketing; there’s no guessing about that fact. It has no bearing on your eventual outcome, however.</p>
