cool thanks for posting

Sounds like a great school, is amity public or private? I wish my public school was of that caliber.

http://dev.woodward.edu/admissions/college_stats.html. You may have to scroll up and down to see the stats.

This school must have a connection with Boston University and NYU.

The stats actually start on pg 5 of the above link

Amity is public...
another interesting resource

QPA is like a weighted GPA, except it is out of 20. (Our GPA is unweighted). A 20 would be "A+" in an honors class, 19 "A", 18 "A-", etc. An "A+" in level 1 would be 18 points, "A" 17, "A-" 16, etc. An "A+" in Level 2 or Level E is 16, etc. As the levels go down, the grades shift by two points. The highest in our class was 18.3 ish. The top 5 % was 17 and above. I hope this helps...

Also, Dr. Brady is a pretty neat guy. He seems to be a good match for us.

And in response to the 2.5 applying to Yale, keep in mind we are in Yale's backyard. Things like this happen...connections, etc.

exphysio,
Thank you for posting. I was wondering, for uw gpa, is a 3.0 an 80 or an 85? Or what are the grades for B-, B, B+, etc.? Also, does your gpa include all hs classes, or just solids? Thanks

wow my school is nowhere near as competitive as any of these =/

What do you mean by solids? pretty sure all courses...
Amity uses A+ (97-100, 4.0), A(93-96, 4.0), A-(90-92, 3.7), B+(87-89, 3.3), B(83-86, 3.0), B-(80-82, 2.7), etc...

bump bump bump

My school has a thing similar to that as well...
All GPAs are weighted

The school is Ridge High School in Basking Ridge, NJ
It seems a lot like Amity... Around the same SAT average and the same percentage of whites... hehe. I believe it is 92% as well... Also the rest 8% is about 6% asian

hopkinslax, thanks for putting this out there.

I still don't understand why a kid with a 2.46 GPA and 1060 SATs applied to UPenn...guess that sort of dispells the myth that everyone who applies to Ivies is qualified.

This is really helpfull. Thanks

BTW now im going to apply ED to U. Chicago after seeing this lol.

eireann, I go to E.O too, but sophmore year.
