1.I believe that I should pay it back but my issue is that fact that the school that made the error hasn’t bothered in giving me any options in trying to pay it back.
2. Post makes sense to me. If you can’t read it without commas or point out clear spelling errors from typing fast you should visit the YouTube comment section. I do not have time to put a post in essay format to suit the needs of a non English speaking person which is what you appear to me as.
@Creatine0125 just hit return every few sentances so the reader isn’t staring at a wall of text, it’s really not that hard
They have offered you terms- 1/3 now to qualify for a payment plan. That’s option A. You can always call and offer option B- maybe 25% down-- you’ll pay them today, and a payment plan for the balance. But it sounds like they want to work with you…
This comment is bad form and offensive. Nobody is expecting you to craft your posts here as you would a college essay. But when you’re stringing together dozens of sentences, at the very least you need to separate major thoughts or themes into paragraphs. Like others, I started reading your first post, got through about five sentences, and gave up. It’s not about commas or spelling errors, it’s about paragraphs that are logically organized and help the reader understand the idea you are trying to get across. And I assure you that English is my first language.
You got $1,600 you didn’t expect. It exceeded the cost of your classes.
You said you spent $500 of it, so you should still have $1,100.
Pay that now, if you have to, defer your attendance at UCF until next Fall, and work to pay this off.
YOU needed to understand and do your due diligence with regards to the aid you received.
Please…stop blaming the colleges. Fact is…you cannot be a matriculated student at TWO colleges at the same time. You can only be degree seeking at one. Those are the rules that govern receiving need based aid.
As @mommdc has politely said a couple of times…you should still have $1000 or so of that money…or dismyou spend it ALL? If you still have $1000…use that ASAP to reduce the amount you owe the college.
@Creatine0125 - while your initial post was long and challenging to read, I appreciate the fact that your follow up posts have included a few more breaks between sentences. This makes it easier for those of us reading and trying to follow along. I am honestly trying to determined why you posted - and it seems to me that your reasons are twofold.
First, you’re looking for help/advice, on a complicated issue. It’s a good idea to come here, as there are a lot of kind, helpful people willing to help. I think several of us have provided suggested action, but based on your responses it doesn’t seem you are ready to take it yet. Lashing out at people trying to help you is rarely a good idea.
Second, it seems you are also still needing to vent. You are still upset about making the mistake of enrolling in multiple colleges at the same time, without accepting the fact that the rules are you cannot get FA from more than one school at a time. You really want to assign blame to the school - but instead you need to focus on trying to solve the problem.
While it is natural to spend your energy getting frustrated at the situation as to how you got here, and you want to learn from it, you will be better off using your energy on moving forward.
With that in mind, I wish you the best of luck. Please let us know if the suggestions given you make sense in your situation.

How incredibly rude.
I’m sorry you’re so busy. But I’ll speak for myself. I’m a native English speaker, and have been for almost 6 decades. You can check the diplomas from my Associate’s, my Bachelor’s and my Master’s degrees. Or you can ask the thousands of kids I’ve taught over the decades. But I, too, chose not to read that wall of text.
If you’re going to criticize someone’s ability to speak and write in English, you might want to rewrite that opening jab… it should be “THE post makes sense to me.” (caps added for emphasis.) Also, in this country the dollar sign comes before the amount, not after it.
At the end of the day, this was your error. It will be up to you to fix it.
