I seriously contemplated my essay for such a long time. I really didn't know what to write about or what made me unique. I'm so fascinated by the 1960's and most importantly hippies. So, I started writing my college essay about them. I pretty much talked about how they were outcasts in society whose ideas were laughed out but that didn't stop them. How they questioned authority and rebelled against society and things like that... Than I related them to me. Now, I mentioned that I don't agree with every thing they did (like the drugs and stuff), but how I'm inspired by their idea of peace and the fact that even though it's such an unattainable concept, they still tried to achieve it.

I'm not a hippie in no way but this was the only topic I feel I can write about properly. I'm going to mention how I sometimes feel like a minority because of my views and how I believe technology prevents a movement like that of the hippies from occurring.

So...Is this crazy? Too risky? Thoughts? I'm not done with it but before I continue I would like to know if this would be a really ridiculous essay.

Thanks.
