What does it mean when the college sent you the email that they extend the deadline for you?
i received 2 this kind of email last year. One from Yale. I think it’s just a generous notification — the extension was for all students, same announced on webpage, fb, ig … Can’t recall if they stated the reason, which is probably related to pandemic.
UF did this too - and typically as @sylsri said it will update on the application deadline page of the school’s website.
Just make sure you know your schools’ deadlines so you can ensure you get all your apps done.
If a schools moves back, it might allow you to prioritize another school first and take a little pressure off of you.
