college fair and cornell

hi everyone! so i just went to a college fair and had a nice conversation with the cornell rep.

so we spoke and i had maybe 2 questions. however i have noticed that as cornell is my first choice (ED) i kind of know everything that i want to know.

this worries me...what about during my interview etc...what if i dont have questions? I really should but should i just ask things that i know the answer to? that isnt being honest.

lol it is good that i know so much about the school...but i feel like i intimidated the admission rep at the fair a little. what should i do?

and im applying to hotel so interview is required

Don't ask questions you already know the answer to. You'll bore yourself, and that's not a good thing during an interivew. Say that you've done a lot of research and know all about how the hotel school looks on paper, so what's the atmosphere like at the hotel school? What's a typical day like at the hotel school...what kind of stuff goes on? Who has come to speak recently/what's the latest news? Stuff like that.

Just be really friendly. Ask about their background and experiences. Talk about your experiences. Tell them that you know a lot about Cornell and are really excited to apply. You will probably have questions once u actually get to the interview. You could simply just put ur interviewer into the question...as in seeing how they experiences Cornell and what happened there. My interviewer and I even talked about a book I had just read in English class. Just be friendly and the convo will come.

And yah, as Figgy said, the interviewer isn't gonna want you to ask questions all about Cornell. If I recall correctly, mine spent most of the time talking about herself...haha. Your interviewer will most likely love to talk about him/herself. Also, you'll probably sound like a schmooze if you keep asking about academics. Ask about sports, weekend activities, stuff to do around Ithaca, etc.
