I was reading what they require and I'm a bit confused by the "MCTP required laptop purchase (3)"

Am I required to buy Their laptop? Could I just buy my own laptop and save money?

It says on this page:

http://www.acp.edu/student_infotech.html

that all students are required to have a laptop, but then it says that they are Offering the laptop, but then it says "required laptop purchase"

or does it mean that the program requires a laptop?

To the Point: Do I have to buy the laptop the college is offering or can I just buy my own?

Thanks! :)

Why don't you just e-mail them and ask? That way you'll get your definitive answer.

There are some colleges that require freshman to purchase a laptop through the school; this is supposedly to assure uniformity in systems, warranties, service. Two I know of that require it are Rose-Hulman and Wake Forest. It appears your college is another on that list since the site also says that all freshman "are assessed" the fee for buying a laptop. In other words, it does not imply that there is an option to do otherwise. Nevertheless, call and confirm.

Ok I figured it out.

I emailed them and they replied saying that the laptop is required for all students, and for more info check out this page:
