College Football Discussion 07

oh my goooddddd, cal-oregon. awful first half from cal, but way to step it up second half! i’m still a nervous wreck–i was fearing a 2-pt conversion ever since monty ran on cal’s last 3rd down.

iljets10, you got your wish…Texas lost as well! They’re dropping like flies!

Go BEARS!!! (Hope Longshore’s OK)

Haha…I was so nervous too. Why do Pac-10 refs take so friggin long to review an obvious call?!

Wow, Kansas State buried Texas 41-21. K-State had at least 4 interceptions. What a great game. What’s with the “top” ranked teams this season? Some of them just can’t seem to get out of their own way.

Big weekend for upsets.

Oklahoma (#3) loses to unranked Colorado.
West Virginia (#5) loses to University of South Florida (#18).
Texas (#7) loses to unranked Kansas State.
Rutgers (#10) loses to unranked Maryland.
Clemson (#13) loses to unranked Georgia Tech.
Penn State (#21) loses to unranked Illinois.

^ Go Illinois!

I smell an upset of USC in Washington the way this week is going.

USF !!!

over FSU, UM !!!
when did USF become the new face of Florida football (and UF too) ???/!!!

so now the state of Fla. has FOUR nationally respected powerhouse teams

give it a few yeaers and FIU will join … hehe…

Auburn’s about to give me a heart attack. At least they showed up to play tonight unlike the games with USF and Miss State. I thought they’d go down in the first quarter, but they’ve been holding their own against Florida and I’m proud of em for that.

Also, GO FSU for kicking Alabama’s ass!

And this weekend’s final upset is… #4 Florida goes down to unranked Auburn (20-17), while #1 USC wins by the skin of their teeth in Seattle against the unranked Huskies (27-24). What a strange week in college football.

At least we were spared one suprise… Notre Dame lost again.

I’m guessing LSU will be the new #1 for this week.

Lsu 2. U$C 3. California

GO BEARS!!! What a good week for college football =P

Watch out USC, we’re coming (or should I say, rolling?)

This was a weird (and awesome!!!) weekend of football. At least my gamecocks were able to win (an awesome game btw).

UCLA 40 – OSU 14

bwahahaha :D

Woo, go Auburn!! War Eagle! I’m so glad they pulled it out!!

Not to mention Wisconsin barely survived Michigan State (as usual), and the Boilermakers and Sun Devils remain undefeated. The Fighting Illini actually look good for a change.
I think Purdue will lose next week to OSU, which as of now seems like one of the best, although California is even better. (I would like to see USC’s asses get handed to them, as always, and by none better than Berkeley, although if Arizona State can do it I will still remain happy.)

Quite a disappointment in the Gator Nation tonight. A field goal by Auburn in the last few seconds for the win.
I must admit Auburn played well. It was the Gators that had problems tonight. Maybe they’ll go through a deja vu and learn from this mistake, again…>_<

I was actually really surprised tonight, I honestly thought before the game started that Florida was basically going to kick Auburn’s ass. I’m glad Auburn put up a fight though and pulled it out!

Plus, Toomer’s Corner was jumpin tonight, “I said it’s great to be an Auburn Tiger!” was pulled out more than a few times and all that toilet paper made it look like it was snowing in the South!

Well, judging from their history, I figured Auburn was going to be a challenge. The Alligator(our student-run newspaper) even said so. Perhaps Auburn got fired up from its previous losses and improved dramatically. 14-0 at halftime says it all.
Ah well, there’s always next year to avenge this loss. It must be pretty crazy over there at Auburn and probably some celebration going on seeing them beat the previous national champs again. It’s looking pretty sad over here and everyone is just trying to get tonight’s events out of their minds and move on.

Yesterday sucked. Rutgers lost and had a chance to jump into the top 5.

AUlostchick, if you heard about Florida’s previous game with Ole Miss, then you would’ve known that Auburn had a good shot if the Gators played Auburn the way they did Ole Miss, which evidently from last night’s game, they performed worse.
Must be some nice celebration going on over at AU right now ^_-
