College Football Discussion 07

lol

Michigan vs Appalachian State tomorrow... good stuff

Syracuse got clobbered. Good to see for me.

I am looking forward to the Virginia Tech game. It'll be nice to see them do well.

There are a couple more interesting games than those two - BC/Wake Forest, Auburn/Kansas State, Georgia Tech/Notre Dame, for example.

But yeah, it's the next 3 weeks that are going to be much more exciting :)

Yeah it is good stuff. The score is 14-14 right now bud. I bet you weren't expecting that from a D1AA team.

edit- I think they're actually a D2 team which makes it worse. And App State is winning by 7!

28-17 Appalachian State at halftime! And I found out they actually are d1aa.

Louisville 73 Murray State 10

sure its against murray state but still 73 POINTS thats ridiculous

While Mich is a bit overrated this year (suspect D), App St. is the no.1 Div-1AA team in the nation and could probably beat 60-70% of the Div-1A teams.

I bet you're not laughing anymore.

Appalachian State 34-32 your final.

Ahaha Michigan =P. What an upset.

App. St. could probably beat Rutgers (or at least, it'll be a close game).

Maybe. But we'll never know.

Mich and Rutgers are very much alike - very good O but a suspect D (which is why Mich should have been initially ranked somewhere in the teens like Rutgers).

I think I'm gonna ... ugh

App. State 34?
Michigan 32?

Wow......just wow. Must be a sad day in Ann Arbor.

the person next to me at the game broke down in tears

i suspect heavy angry drinking tonight

lol @ Michigan

Rutgers does NOT have a good offense; they're actually the one of the worst offenses in the Top 25. West Virginia has a ton of weapons, as does Louisville. Rutgers cannot compete against WVU and Lousiville in the Big East. The only reason they did so well last year was because no one really expected them to make a big push like that. This year, the competition is gonna turn up the heat on Ray Rice and expose Rutgers' weak QB play. They're a one man offense.

My opinion is biased but Rutgers offense is good. It definitely isn't bad. Ray Rice is not the only good player. Mike Teel (QB) looks much better this year. He had a career high in passing in his last game against Buffalo. And Tiquan Underwood broke the school record for receiving yards in a game with 248 last thursday against Buffalo. The line is also good.

I am aware the last game was against Buffalo but to say they're Offense isn't good sounds dumb to me. They will compete against Louisville and WVU. Wait till October 27th. I'm hoping Rutgers and WVU will both be undefeated and the chances of that are good.

Pandemonium in Piscataway Part 2!

I am so ****ed right now.. UCF is absolutely choking the game away.

It's tough to call them a very good offense when they lost their best player to the NFL last year. Ray Rice is not going to be the same guy because of the absence of Brian Leonard. That's the bottom line. And if the running game is weak, Rutgers is going to have to start relying on Teel, who is just god awful. Let me remind you that he's the same guy who threw more INTs than TDs and had a completion percentage of just above 55 last year. Sorry, that's not gonna cut it in D-1 football.
