Strong showing for the Pac-10 today...We were caught sleeping (literally), Washington needs to start scheduling easy non-conference games, both Arizona's lost to inferior teams, Oregon barely pulled out a win, and UCLA has to be the most consistently inconsistent team in existence. At least USC ended the night with a THROTTLING of tOSU.

Also, did anyone catch the Auburn game with a final score of 3-2? Epic =P

Who thinks Georgia might end up in the National Championship game? As good as Georgia is touted as being, I just had a look at their schedule and it's a tough slate-- Alabama, Auburn, LSU, Florida. I just think they're going to trip up somewhere. I think Oklahoma and USC might be the NC match up in January.

^ It's not that amazing when you figure they're playing prevent defense to stop the huge play and Riley just passes for 10 yards a play. Effective, though =P

Hopefully we can bounce back in two weeks and smash Colorado State.

...time for us Ohio State fans to regroup and start thinking about making it to a good Bowl game, one that has nothing to do with the BCS National Championship... Yeah, I gotta hand it to USC, they look good.

But hey, it could be worse. We could be UCLA. :-P

Ohio State still has a lot of season left. Sure they lost a lot of respect, but you don't need it anymore for the rest of the schedule. If they can beat wisconsin and penn state, they'll probably win the big 10 and get a free trip to the rose bowl no matter what anyone ranks them.

And if Ohio State makes it to the rose bowl, you better be rooting for USC to go to the national championship game - with the way the rest of the Pac-10 is "playing" then Ohio State actually has a decent shot at a rose bowl title over the #2 pac-10 team :)

"If they can beat wisconsin and penn state, they'll probably win the big 10 and get a free trip to the rose bowl no matter what anyone ranks them."

That's a HUGE if. Honestly, have you seen how Ohio State has been playing? They will be lucky to get to the Outback bowl. Penn State and Wisconsin are a lot better than Ohio State.

I know how bad they are, I was at that game, I've seen Ohio State play :)

Besides, Wisconsin just barely escaped Fresno, and OSU gets Penn State at home (which probably will be a good game) - just because you lose badly to the #1 team in the country doesn't mean you're totally screwed. Just remember virginia tech last year, lost to LSU badly but still won the ACC.

The only college game I'm watching is UM vs. FSU. I'll have to put up with my cousin (who lives in nyc, btw) calling me a traitor because I support UM..just a tiny bit.

Are you dense? Hawaii is in the WAC and plays pathetic teams. Coming out of that conference 12-0 gets you nothing but a THRASHING by Georgia. LSU deserved that spot, and proved it by throttling OSU.

Yes, know they'd get thrashed. However, I believe on principle that every team should have a shot at winning the championship every year, regardless of what conference they play in. Thus, an undefeated team should always get a spot in the big one (or some kind of playoff, but that's another discussion). Unfortunately, the current system eliminates 54 of the 119 teams before the season starts, which I feel is absurd.
