^^we’ll see how wake does against stanford this saturday

Matt Barkley 15-31, 195 yds, 0 TD, 1 INT, cool as a cucumber

Absolutely amazing for a true freshmen playing against one of the best teams in the country. Well done.

My 'Heels put on a terrible performance against UConn today but still got away with a win. We’ll see how we look next Saturday against ECU.

2 weeks down and this is still technically possible, why couldn’t my crazy prediction have been shot down in week 1, this is gonna be painful.

Central Michigan over Michigan State. Yay MAC!

15-31, 195 yds, 0 TD, 1 INT

those are terrible numbers outside the USC-RDF context, lol. I guess he did a good job handing off down the stretch.

[USC’s first TD](http://i30.■■■■■■■.com/29naxqv.jpg)

Actually Barkley was 3-5 for 55 yards on that last drive…it was the ends of the two halves where they really let him loose with the offense.

Not so amazing: another year, another season of terrible big-12 defense.

Houston racking up 515 yards of offense on Oklahoma State? What does that say about Georgia’s offense?

I really like how USC beats a top 10 team and still is only #3 in the AP rankings. Though we did make quite a lot of ground on catching up with Texas.

So what’s everyone’s opinion on as scenario like this. It’s the final week and Florida, Texas, and USC have gone undefeated through the entire season. Think 2004 (Pac10, SEC, Big 12). Who goes to the national championship?

Number of bowl teams doesn’t necessariy correlate with the strength of the conference. Last year’s ACC just proves it!!! It’s mediore with many bowl teams. To be bowl eligible, you need .500 W/L ratio. That’s it. One way of making the eligibility easier is to schedule easy non-conference games.

Pac-10 would always be at a disadvantage because they not only schedule tougher OOC schedule in general but also have only 3 OOC games as opposed to other conferences with 4 OOC games for each team. It means for each of the Pac10 teams, there’s one more win that has to come at the expense of a fellow Pac10 member. Or put in another way, the best each team can get from OOC is 3-0, half way through that 0.5000 ratio whereas others can get 4-0, needing only 2 more wins within their own conference to become bowl eligible (anyone finds it funny to see a 2-6 team within its conference going to a bowl?). On top of that, Pac10 team plays everyone within its own conference. In other conferences, you can get lucky with no game against the top-2 teams until the conference championship and by then, you are already a media darling even u haven’t played anybody (e.g Kansas two years (or 3?) ago).

@UCSDJake: I don’t think Boise State has any chance of getting picked, although maybe they have a chance of earning a spot (i.e. going undefeated). BYU–we’ll see. If they go undefeated, they could be the team that breaks the BCS once and for all.

And sorry to be a band geek here, but my vote for Saturday’s best moment goes to Ohio State’s tuba player smashing an ESPN camera that got in his way.

Don’t worry… when they get beat by an unranked team, they’ll only fall 2 or 3 spots too…

horrible officiating in the nd-um game, thats all im going to say. the refs ran off the field as soon as the horn sounded for a reason.

They didnt cheat hard enough.

Boise State should definitely go undefeated. There aren’t any good teams left on their schedule, and there may not have been any to begin with.

Boise isn’t going to make it to the championship game even undefeated. BYU could make it if they go undefeated but only if the alternative #2 is a 2-loss team (like LSU was in 2007)

If Florida goes undefeated they’re in automatically even if they might have a weaker schedule than USC or Texas.

The reason is because the game was over and Weis probably would have eaten them. Weis lost them the game. Even if there were 1 second left, they wouldn’t have scored. Weis will be fired if he loses more than 1 or 2 more games.

everyone in pac-10 plays washington and washington state, which are 2 automatic wins

ranking for this week (after USC beat Ohio st) doesn’t come out yet, even after this week ranking come out, USC might still be at #3 or #2 at the highest. They might receive more votes, though.

Well, Ohio St was also overrated.
