what are the best 5 places for college football tailgating and games (basically overall experience)? pretend it's an international student who wants a sample of the best college football experiences (tradition, spirit, uniqueness) in the USA and can only do five places.

of course, I'm a little biased, but Auburn definitely. Georgia and Alabama, too. Basically anywhere in the SEC will get you some insane, very memorable experiences. We take our football serious down here.

Army Football is consistently ranked up near the top with regards to tailgating. Saturday football at West Point is a different experience than other colleges, but I believe it is considered one of the best places to go.

not our school

LSU, Ole Miss, USC, Florida, Michigan

I'm definitely biased, but there aren't many schools that do it better than Texas A&M especially when it comes to spirit and tradition. The 12th Man, Yell leaders, 80,000+ people wearing maroon.

Clemson, Georgia, and LSU were the three best football colleges I've been to.

UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS hook'em long horns baby

come on now, NOTRE DAME!

I could've sworn in the Florida vs Auburn game that there were just as many Auburn fans as Florida fans...
But it does get pretty wild around here during home games

Notre Dame, definitely. Even though we suck this year.

The school I attend, [blank] State, is the best choice, objectively. We have an incredible record, awesome traditions, the best-looking cheerleaders, and a passionate, yet respectful, fanbase (nothing like the animals at [rival university.]) Dressing in the same colors as tens of thousands of like-minded fans so as to demonstrate my unqeustioned allegiance to the group and going to the big game offers an experience that you won't get anywhere else. [Catchphrase]!

USC's campus goes crazy on gameday, a bunch of the alumni come and tailgate along with every other organization on campus, its awesome.

um yeah i've been to pac 10 games and i dont think any of them are that special, ucla and usc included. they seem so... pedestrian compared to my image of the southern (plus texas) football games (e.g. LSU tailgating, TAMU 12th man, FSU war chant)

what are some of the differences between all the southern schools?

can someone tell me more about texas, notre dame, and michigan? i know they're famous for football, but what makes the tailgating and game experience great/unique?

Florida, Tennessee, LSU, Georgia, FSU

Florida Def...

most of sec schools are great in experience. however most of them are subpar in academics, save florida. ur best bet is utexas(even though we suck bevo's nonexistent balls this year) and, as much as this pains me, tx a&m. they have a bit better school spirit, although not as academically well known as ut but still a good school.

Go Trojans!

Sorry i couldn't help myself.

Notre Dame.

^^^ with the exception of this season
