College Football Starts!

Living in New York City, there are really no D1 college football teams to root for. There is Hofstra, but they're IAA, which is really like division 2. Rutgers is right next door in New Jersey, but they're not going to be winning any Big East titles for a longgggggggg time. Most seasons I end up rooting for West Virginia because I know someone who lives near there, and Ohio State 'cause I know someone who goes there.

"Who is going to stop Ted Ginn, Jr?"

Seems to me like even Miami(OH) did a pretty good job stopping Ted Ginn last weekend, no? Ted Ginn didn't do much of anything last week until he caught a garbage time TD.

MetsFan- root for the USC Trojans. they always have someone in New York picking up a Heisman or some other trophy.

Just like I said, Notre Dame beat Michagan....
It was a great game. The Michagain offense was horrible. The Notre Dame offense was ok but their defense got it done.

Well, I guess I was completely wrong. The UMich-ND game wasn't a shootout. Notre Dame seems to be a very underrated team this year, and their defense was phenomenal. It's now apparent that hiring Charlie Weis was a very good idea for ND.

And what's this with OU struggling with Tulsa? Wow.

ok thankfully, OU won the game or they are screwed...cannt wait until the Texas game.....I say Texas is going to win....

hook 'em horns! hopefully Texas can do it.

Ted Ginn Jr. is not even that good.

"After trailing nearly all night at rowdy Ohio Stadium, No. 2 Texas overtook fourth-ranked Ohio State in the final minutes for a 25-22 victory." HOOOOK EM

I think I winning in the betting....jk.....

anyway....I seriously doubt texas' chance in the fourth quater and if it wasnt for the turnover by Zwick, texas would probably lost by a field goal.
The last time Iowa, Ohio State, and Mich lost on the same day was in 1988- when Notre Dame won the national championship.
