I really wan to major in Journalism and International Relations and become a foreign correspondent when I grow up. So far trhe colleges I am most interested in are NYU, Boston U, Penn State, and University of MD.

Does anyone know any colleges that would be good for those majors or have first hand experience in be a foreign correspondent? I'd love to hear from you if you know anything that could help me out :)

My advice in this case would be to identify a particular country you are interested. Study the language of that country. Do a junior year abroad in that country, ideally in its main (usually capital) city. While there, try to work for the English language press in that country.

I think the job of “foreign correspondent” is becoming less common as it’s easier for news outlets to hire locals, or partner with local news organizations, to do reporting.

University of Maryland is located very well for access to D.C. and it has a strong journalism program. You can take the metro into D.C. from College Park.
