College for Writing Suggestions?

I'm interested in creative writing not necessarily as a major but I want to be able to take creative writing classes. I have an average gpa (4.3 weight, 3.8 uw) and somewhat low test scores (2100, 31). I have alright ecs, yearbook editor, colorguard lieutenant, club secretary, club founder and president. I am in two honor societies.

I am looking for a school with a good English/ Writing program. I am already applying to Kenyon College, Sewanee, Grinnell College, and Vanderbilt. I do not qualify for need based aid but I am trying for merit.

Any other suggestions?
I will try to help you back with anything for your advice.

Bard, CUNY, Brandeis, we could go on and on.

can you give us a little more info? state of residency? possible major? gender? large/small?

A 3.8 UW and a 31 ACT are not “average” or “low” on any planet except perhaps the rarified air of CC. Those two factors will qualify you into most colleges - not saying you’ll get into most of them, but there isn’t a college in the US that doesn’t take people with those numbers.

Add Hamilton to your list.

Emory University.

I’ll definitely check those out. I live in California so I’m looking for something outside of the state. Preferably small but I don’t mind a large university. Thank you for your comments.
@MrMom62 thanks for the encouragement. CC can be a downer.

I second Hamilton. Knox would likely offer you nice merit.
