Anyone else pay Collegiate Welcome Service Plan and their student receive nothing? I checked back on the letter I received from the University of New Haven, and there is no way to contact the company.
I had an issue with On Campus Market (OCM) and had the best luck reaching out to them on facebook. My daughter didn’t get her welcome gift until mid October. Fortunately I didn’t order any others.
The Attorney General’s office in CT has a VERY responsive staff which deals with consumer fraud of all kinds. I’ve contacted them with problems with an auto dealer, a credit card issuer (not based in CT) and a direct marketing company and they’ve been great.
You can also dispute it on your credit card. Most will immediately refund the amount until the dispute is resolved (which it likely never will be).
I used to send my daughter treats off Amazon prime shopping, or from The Popcorn Factory.
If you got the letter from the college, I would contact the Director of Student Life (or someone with a similar title) at the school and let them know. And definitely call the credit card company and dispute the bill if you charged it.
I always made up my own package of treats to send to the kids – this way I know they got things they would enjoy.
