Do the grades you receive in a California Community College transfer to the UC school you transfer to, or just the credits?

bump. please someone tell me

okay take my answer w/ a grain of salt. but i do believe that UC's do award credits and grades for classes taken at ccc. I'm not sure though. i lived in cali for like a semester.

thanks, but anybody else who think they know?

I believe that your grades do NOT transfer with you, only the transfer credit that you receive.

I once asked a counselor and an admissions officer at UCLA if your transfer gpa follows you to UC "X" and both said no, you start with a brand new gpa once you transfer.

However, your transcript from past community colleges will always be there for future grad-schools you might consider pursuing, to see.

hope this helps a bit.

thanks veralyn! but that news kinda sucks
