<p>Unfortunately, there isn’t much coverage for our son in LA with a Wisconsin based HMO. It would also be a taxable benefit so we’ll just keep on paying for his insurance.</p>

<p>I’m with you, our son’s grad school offers only minimum plan with low max.</p>
<p>He’s applied for golden rule (Connecticut), should be about $104 month. It has a highish deductible but great coverage for the ‘big stuff’. That’s what we/he needs.</p>
<p>Our son will be ageing off our family individual health insurance we have with BCBS. I understand COBRA only applies to group policies, not ours. He has a fairly serious pre-existing condition that will make him ineligible for individual coverage. He will probably not be able to get employment with group coverage. We live in Tennessee. Do we have any options other than HIPPA (and I’m not even sure if that’s an option because he is not covered under a group).</p>
