Im a freshman in high school. i go to a school in the country for now. is there anyway that i could get into an ivy league school. my grades so far are all A's. I would love to go to NYU. Can anyone help me out?

Just keep up your GPA, ace your SATs, do lots of extracurricular activities and volunteering, win some awards, and you’ll be a great potential applicant for any ivy league schools.

^^What he/she said. But make sure your EC’s show commitment, and also reflect you interests while also being diverse. Don’t do a bunch and barely participate in half of them. I’ve done many many many EC’s in my HS career, and my commitment to some of them were definitely compromised because my conflicting schedule (even though that’s mainly my mom’s fault for making me do things I didn’t want to do in the first place). You’re only going to need to mention a few on your application anyway, and if you make a HS resume you’ll should probably only list at most 8. And also, make sure you gain leadership positions in a few of them.

Also, try the ACT in addition to the SAT. You’ll be surprised by how well you might do one in comparison to the other. It depends on what kind of test taker you are.

I must say, your thread reminds me of myself as a frosh–freaking out over college when I’m no where close to going to college anytime soon. Lol. But all the freaking out I did back then makes me feel way more prepared for the application process than most of my classmates now.
