College Hopes and Worries Survey

What do you think about the survey conducted by the Princeton Review about which schools students and their parents dream about most often?

Yale ranks 4th among students and 5th among parents. NYU is first among students, and Stanford is first among parents.

Comments?

if NYU would give me money, i would go there in a heartbeat because i have a snowballs chance in hell to get into yale. so, i can agree :D

the survey was conducted explicitly without regard for financial need or likelihood of acceptance

well.. many students choose NYU because ivies are too much of a shot in the dark. i can understand that, and my desicion might come down to NYU and another school if i dont get yale/brown. however, disregarding money and likelihood of acceptance, you just cant say no to the ivy.

i still don't understand what the appeal of a school with no campus is....if i wanted to go to a college in the middle of a busy, dirty city- with no campus, i would go to the downtown community college....NYU=no me gusta :p

columbia and ucla no me gusta tambien

that is why the whole thing is so odd.

Fully half the nation's fake IDs are produced within 1,000 yards of the NYU "campus".

lol. i didnt know that!

i like the quotation marks, byerly
