College in Canada?

Hi! So I’m an american with Canadian citizenship and I wanted to apply to uoft and mcgill for either applied math/actuarial science or bioengineering/biotechnology.
I got a B in honors precalc both semesters and a b in honors physics as well second semester. Other than that all As and A-s. My overall grades 10-12 GPA is about 4.2 since I did one weighted sophomore year. My sat is a 2090 and a 2060. And my sat subject 2s are 710 in both bio and math 2. Do I have a chance? I want to go into math but I feel like I might be rather weak in it compared to all the geniuses at uoft and mcgill lol. Also, I really want to get into tritinty–is that possible with my scores? Thank you everyone

The term “college” has a different meaning in Canada. You are looking at universities.

Canadian universities are very numbers driven. Your SAT scores look fine for arts and science admission. I have no idea about engineering. Bioengineering is in the engineering faculty. The others are in the arts and science faculty.

Canadians don’t weigh GPA. If your unweighted GPA is 3.5 or greater, you should be fine. Note that engineering is very competitive. There are only a certain number of spots and they go to the applicants with the highest scores.

Trinity has a separate admissions process. It is numbers driven, but it is also holistic. You will be required to write 2 short essays or stories. The essays have the ability to make or break your admission.

Canadian universities don’t use references or rankings.

You should also have a look at the University of Waterloo. If anything, their co-op program is better in the subjects you listed than U of T and McGill.
