I am a senior in high school and I was wondering if information sessions and open houses helped you in your college decision. Because it seems to me that a lot of the information could be found online.

The real value is the campus visit, getting a feel for the place. If you can squeeze in an information session while you’re there, it can’t hurt. They do all start to sound the same after awhile though. It probably wouldn’t hurt to sign some sort of register to show that you were there; demonstrates interest. Arrange for an interview, if you can.
